Villa Califano is an exceptionally luxurious villa in the heart of Sorrento within walking distance of all the local amenities including the beach, tennis court, shops, restaurants and bars. The surrounding area overlooks the Gulf of Naples, ideal for relaxing afternoons in the southern Italian sunshine.
The villa was purchased in 1970 by the Count de Mario Caracciolo, a lover of all things beautiful. He went on to decorate the villa with beautiful paintings, sculptures and antiques making it into the glamorous and luxurious villa that it is today.
With five sumptuous double bedrooms and five bathrooms, plus an adjacent annexe apartment, the villa can comfortably accommodate up to fourteen guests. There are multiple spaces for relaxing with the large spacious sitting rooms and a dining room, all of which lend themselves as the perfect venue for hosting family meals, enjoying activities together and creating long lasting memories.
The Villa is over 450 square meters, and it develops over several different levels. The garden leads to the main entrance: on the left you will find the spacious lounge, study, dining-room and music room. On the right of the entrance, you will find the rustic area with the kitchen, dining-room, lounge area and one double bedroom with unsuited shower and WC. The other bedrooms are located on the third floor.
The villa also boasts its own fully equipped gym on the lower ground floor and a private outdoor swimming pool.
The unobtrusive property owner lives next door and is available to offer a wealth of knowledge about Sorrento and the surrounding area. Three hours of daily maid service and laundry washing are also included during your stay.
For those in search of a villa in the heart of Sorrento, it’s hard not to find a more idyllic location than Villa Califano. The beach is only a short walk away and all the highlights of Sorrento, including the Museo Correale di Terranova and the historic town centre, are within walking distance. Additionally, Sorrento is an ideal starting point for visiting many other well-known Italian places including the island of Capri and towns of Ischia, Pompeii and Positano.
